RE: Oakmont Extension
Dear Mr. Ward:
The Foundation requested that the PB Property Owners Association take over the problem of the Oakmont Extention, being the road between Pelican Bay Blvd. and The Albertson shopping center. This road extends to the stop sign where it enters the Albertson's shopping center. If a left turn is made at the stop sign a road leads to the back of the stores and then out to Vanderbilt Beach Road. The extention has the drive way to the Finanical Center extending east and will have a drive way extending east to the next building when the lot is developed.
At the present time this Extention is owned by WCI Properties. We believe that in time we will have no problem in having the Extention turned over to the County and the County accepting the road. This road keeps the cars of Pelican Bay off the highways. However, these events will take time. We are also interested in having the vacant lot made some what more attrative which we also will be able to handle.
The short range problem is having the Extension's landscaping maintained. For that we would like you to take it over and apply the usually excellant lawn maintenance, etc. to the extention. Such landcaping is ofcourse paid for by the property owners in Pelican Bay. If we took a referendum there would be no difficulty in having such landscaping approved. Everyone in Pelican Bay wants the community to look in prescine condition. We know that your County workers maintain the Foundation property where necessary. Of course, if you think it desirable we could arrange to have WCI Properties pay for this service.
Your consideration of this request is appreciated.
Yours truly,
Richard T. Laughlin
President
