April 26, 2002 Mr. James P. Ward, Department Director 801 Laurel Oak Drive Suite 605 RE: Oakmont Extension At the present time this Extention is owned by WCI Properties. We believe that in time we will have no problem in having the Extention turned over to the County and the County accepting the road. This road keeps the cars of Pelican Bay off the highways. However, these events will take time. We are also interested in having the vacant lot made some what more attrative which we also will be able to handle. The short range problem is having the Extension's landscaping maintained. For that we would like you to take it over and apply the usually excellant lawn maintenance, etc. to the extention. Such landcaping is ofcourse paid for by the property owners in Pelican Bay. If we took a referendum there would be no difficulty in having such landscaping approved. Everyone in Pelican Bay wants the community to look in prescine condition. We know that your County workers maintain the Foundation property where necessary. Of course, if you think it desirable we could arrange to have WCI Properties pay for this service. Your consideration of this request is appreciated. Yours truly,
Richard T. Laughlin President |
