President's remarks
Marvin had a meeting with the Foundation's
Governance Committee on Annexation. He reported that they are still waiting
for the Urban Service Report which is due out on Dec. 1 5. Marvin said
that Mr. Mudd of the County is threatening to use the parking space for work
vehicles as a garage to bus people to the beaches. Another area of concern
is a parking garage near the Registry Hotel.
Marvin formed a PBPOA Committee on annexation: Coleman Connell, Chairperson,
John D'Aquanno, and Mike Coyne.
Bill Turner, Office Personnel Chairperson, presented a plan to the Board
for review for Bobbie Cancelliere's financial package for 2005. The motion
for the plan as presented was made, seconded and passed.
Legal Committee
Dick
Laughlin brought up the fact that Ted Raia's articles were not allowed
to be in the PB Post. Why? The Board agreed that they are not in the interest
of the Foundation.
Mr. Laughlin questioned the ownership of the pier where the canoes for Pelican
Bay are stored. It was suggested a letter be written to ask who the owner
is, and who is going to repair it.
Dick Laughlin said the insurance company should get a notice of the suit
against Ted Raia. He also informed the Board that the second deposition was
cancelled. The Legal committee recommends that the insurance carrier
be on notice once Ted is served.
The meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
The next Board meeting will be on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at
2:00 p.m. in the Board room of the PBPOA office.
Respectfully submitted,
Mike Coyne, Secretary
